Research On Competitiveness Of Agriculture-related Enterprises Before And After The Earthquake In The Quake-stricken Area In Sichuan Province

After the earthquake which happened on 2008 May 12th in Wenchuan Sichuan China, the agriculture-related companies in the earthquake affecting areas suffered heavy losses. Companies lose some or all of their competitive advantage because of their environment tremendous changes. The research which analysis on the development of environment changes and the competitiveness's improvement of the agriculture-related companies in the earthquake affecting areas, will have important theoretical and practical significance.In this paper, according to the collection of studies on the domestic and international business environment and literature research on enterprise competitiveness, arrange the relevant theory of the business environment and competitiveness and corporate competitiveness evaluation methods. This is based on theory of business environment, value chain theory, competitiveness theory and the theory of business change.Through investigation and questionnaire survey, we summarize the specific changes in the external environment of agriculture-related enterprises in Sichuan earthquake disaster area, and analyze the impact of the environmental change on agriculture-related enterprises in Sichuan disaster areas. Changes in the external environment impact the earthquake disaster area agribusiness mainly in logistics and transport disruption, market share decline, corporate financing more difficult, etc.; internal environmental changes on agriculture-related enterprises in Sichuan earthquake affected mainly in the business model, structure, cost and social contribution expenses and so on.Based on the above analysis, we construct the Sichuan agricultural enterprise competitiveness evaluation index system, and models. The index system divides the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in Sichuan disaster area into four levels:the reference to class index, sub-criteria level indicators, level indicators and the overall goal. Target the characteristics of enterprise competitiveness, we use AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate Sichuan competitiveness of agriculture-related enterprises comprehensive from the three levels of sub-level indicators, level indicators and the main criteria.Through field investigation and questionnaire survey to 36 Sichuan earthquake typical agricultural enterprise survey data, using this paper's Sichuan agribusiness competitiveness evaluation model, after the earthquake in Sichuan before the earthquake hit the competitiveness of agriculture-related enterprises comprehensive evaluation. Agriculture-related enterprises in Sichuan before the earthquake hit the competitiveness of the overall evaluation value of 5.4372, is between good and general; and agriculture-related businesses after the earthquake disaster in Sichuan comprehensive evaluation of the competitiveness of the overall value of 4.5344, in between the poor and general. Earthquake-induced environmental changes to Sichuan agriculture competitiveness of enterprises dropped a level, the earthquake of significant competitive edge from the shock front in a general bias on the decline to a general lower-level, restore and enhance the competitiveness of post-disaster Sichuan Agricultural Enterprises primary objective of post-disaster reconstruction. Identify the impact of disaster agribusiness competitiveness factors, according to the specific combination of these factors changes in the environment, raise the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises enhance disaster response.
