The Research Of Retailer-Leading Supply Chain Contract

With the progress of the times, enterprise management mode is changing, mainly through three stages:independent operation stage, vertical integration stage, and supply chain management stage. Supply chain is so important, that some experts have predicted:the 20th century is the competition between enterprises; the 21st century will be the competition between supply chains. Since the 1990s, the world has undergone tremendous changes in the circulation industry, the large manufacturer-dominated supply chain is gradually replaced by large retailer-dominated supply chain, and the retailer-dominated supply chain has become the inevitable trend.In the large retailer-dominated supply chain, the goals of each enterprise'decision is to maximize their own interests, which often conflict with the overall supply chain goal and reducing the supply chain performance and competitiveness. So it is required the cooperation of each enterprise and game with each other. They should sign a contract to reduce conflicts and costs, improving the supply chain performance and service level based on their negotiation skills. Only in this way can we improve the competitiveness of the supply chain, and gain the new form of competition advantage between supply chains.This paper researches the contract problems under random demand in the large retailer-dominated supply chain.This dissertation first introduces the background, the purpose, the significance and innovation of this research, as well as describes some related concepts. Then, the literature of retailer-dominated supply chain and supply chain contract are reviewed and analyzed. In addition, the general contract models of two-level and tri-level large retailer-dominated supply chain are analyzed. At last, the buy-back contract model of retailer-dominated supply chain in random demand is researched, conditions of supply chain coordination are gained based on the optimization of supply chain performance in the designed buy-back contract, and then model simulation is carried out to further verify that the contract can be achieved.The main innovation of this dissertation is established the profit model of the general contract models of tri-level large retailer-dominated supply chain, and researched the tri-level large retailer-dominated supply chain that makes up for deficiencies of the research in this aspect. This dissertation also signs a buy-back contract, proves the new buy-back contract can realize the supply chain coordination, and the proportion of benefit sharing is decided by the price. Moreover, in the analysis of contract, retail price is analyzed as exogenous variables instead of endogenous variables, which makes it more close to reality.
