The commodity of Song, especially economic development over the previous generation, the economy's prosper has been have got sufficient embodiment in currency field, that is the emergency of Jiaozi, Despite Jiaozi is recognized by historians of China's earliest paper money.This article perspective Jiaozi from angle of the Song Dynasty overall social environment and the nature of Jiaozi,hope to break to research results in this aspect in the past.This paper mainly explore the Jiaozi from the macro level, the emergence, development, and the nature of Jiaozi. So from the overall environmental impact, history and other factors come to the conclusion "being similar to government debt ",Article is divided into five parts:The first part described the overall economic environment and the Song of money shortage, the commodity economy of Song, is developed and conditioned by society political setting of the Song dynasty.making money shortage problem is more prominent than the previous generation,highly centralized political and economic system so that the three redundancy situation is arising,The heavy financial burden, resulting in the situation that the expenditures do not correspond with the income. The need amounts to currency have expanded rapidly,the copper output has not seen increase. Although the government has taken many measures, but the money shortage problem in the Song dynasty have not been resolved.Part II briefly discusses the production of Jiaozi and Jiaozi, when Jiaozi was originally created in the civil issue, later replaced by government-run, after the Southern Song Dynasty, huizi replaced Jiaozi,becoming the main paper money of Song, on the intersection of the causes, historians have many different views, I believe that Jiaozi and huizi developped from the folk paper money and it had a degree of country compulsory.The third part outlines early maturity of Jiaozi, The Song of the commodity economy is immature, Commodity economy and the feudal peasant economy inevitably be associated, which determines that the production of intersection of the Song Dynasty is premature.The production relations that feudalism makes restricting a peasant on that one small piece land,making the prosperity of the commodity economy is not the true sense of the prosperity, the Jiaozi who comes into being on this condition, evidently is immature. And this can be clearly demonstrated from the developpment progress after it coming into existence, After the production of Jiaozi in the Northern Song Dynasty,it has a period of prosperity, although the notes have a greater development the Yuan dynasty,can not avoid it walking in Ming and Qing.The fourth part is about Jiaozi and portfolio links. when the Jiaozi generated at the beginning, It mainly carries out the means of circulation function..Jiaozi are inextricably linked with the widespread securities, although to a certain extent identical with paper currency, but have some character of negotiable securities.
