With the global industrial competition and rapid technological innovation, enterprises often take some measures such as cost reduction and changes in order to maintain a competitive advantage. At the same time, the nature of the employee's job has also experienced a change that can not be ignored. The staff perceived more powerlessness to maintain desired continuity in a sitiuation which may not only threaten their jobs but also the job resources and the future in general, called "job insecurity." Job insecurity will result in many negative consequences for the organization and employees, and a growing number of organizational behavior and occupational health scholars and practitioners are addressing the issue of job insecurity.The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the structure and content of job insecurity, as well as the antecedents on it and inner mechanism. For these purposes, some standard research methods, such as literature review, interview and survey were used in the research. More than 600 employees in manufacture as semiconductor, telecom, plate-making and chemical industries from Suzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Xi'an and other places were survyed. In addition, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were applied for data analysis.The main conclusions are as the follows:1.The construction of job insecurity consisted of three factors for Manufacturing employee, including quantitative job insecurity, salary promotion insecurity and interpersonal insecurity.2.There are significant differences for the employees with different demographic and organizational characteristics on the part dimensions of job insecurity.3.The "cooperation and results-oriented", one dimension of Person-Organization Fit, had direct negative effect on quantitative job insecurity; The "contribution", one dimension of Leader-Member Exchange, has played a negative moderating role in the above-mentioned linkage.4.The"dedicated orientation", one dimension of Person-Organization Fit, had direct positive effect on interpersonal insecurity; The "contribution", one dimension of Leader-Member Exchange, has played a positive moderating role in the above-mentioned linkage.
