Research On Effective Integration Of Flexible Production And Cost Control In PS Company

Uncertainty is common in nowadays economic environment; with the global economic development, competition that enterprises are surrounding is fiercer and fiercer. Current competition environment has been summarized as following characters: Product life cycle is going shorter and shorter, Customized demand, unsure demand and market, quick response request and lower cost.As a result, flexibility and low cost are becoming the Key Competitive Power for enterprises to win market. Flexibility has to be connected with cost, real Flexibility is proved as an economic capability of quick response to changes.Basing on company PS Suzhou, this article takes the implementation of effective integration of Flexible production and cost control in PS company; using related theory and study of Flexible production and cost control, consulting the research and the application about both China and abroad, analyzing the main problems face to PS Suzhou company before implement the effective integration of flexible production and cost control. Equipment Investment Planning & Management, Direct Labor Planning & Management, and Inventory Management were selected as the areas to be improved; several actions were taken accordingly to achieve the Effective Integration of Flexible Production and Cost Control; which is targeted to improve PS's Key Competitive Power in current fierce competition and uncertain environment.Through the research on this topic, I hope we can accumulate experience from this empirical study further to theory in the related area, which could be helpful to other PS group companies and the similar enterprises that facing the flexibility and cost pressure. I also hope this study can give reference to other short life product enterprises on how to achieve economic quick response in uncertain environment.
