In the increasingly competitive household electrical appliance industry, after-sales service outsourcing has become an inevitable trend so that the enterprises can reduce costs and concentrate on their core businesses. The pattern of after-sales service outsourcing has benefited household electrical appliance enterprises a lot, but its failure will also bring tremendous loss. The existence of information asymmetry between both parties of outsourcing is the primary cause of the failure. The thesis makes a systematic research into the information asymmetry in after-sales service outsourcing. The thesis starts with the significance and characteristics of the after-sales service of household electrical appliance enterprises, and then elaborates on the motivation of after-sales service outsourcing, analyses the problems of adverse selection and moral hazard generated from the existence of information asymmetry in after-sales service outsourcing, and comes up with the solutions. On one hand, as far as the adverse selection is concerned, the thesis lays down a well-established evaluation index system of service providers, evaluates service providers from all angles with the aim of helping household electrical appliance enterprises select appropriate service providers. On the other hand, on the basis of the fundamental analysis of principal-agent theory, the thesis establishes the optimal incentive model and optimal incentive and supervision model with the presence of information asymmetry and puts forward specific stimulation and supervision methods.
