Research On Xi'an Tour Dispatch Center Location And Planning Strategy

With the development and the popularity of tourism, people's self-traveling ability is enhancing and self-help travelers is increasing rapidly, a brand new time of FIT (Foreign Independent Tourist) is coming. For accommodating this condition, the tour dispatch center is born as the city's tourism infrastructure and fresh form of traveling. It is on the basis of integrating regional tourism resources so as to offer entirety travel services and facilitate tourists. Xi'an is a city with thousand years of history and glorious culture, besides, it is a famous tourism city. In order to deal with the huge amount of FIT travel problems, we must accelerate the construction of tour dispatch center, which meets the needs of tourism development in Xi'an.This paper starts with the basic theory of tour dispatch center, comparatively analyzed the tour dispatch center construction and operation mode in major relevant cities, and then proposed some advice for Xian's market. Considering the situation of local tourist resources, policy environment, market and benefit analysis, the paper further made SWOT analysis then proposed locating mode and strategies for tour dispatch center in Xi'an separately. The planning of tour dispatch center is an important part of tour service system, and the location problem is the premise of its establishment. To decide which location is appropriate for dispatch center is a complex and multi-objective issue. This paper introduced AHP and fuzzy evaluation methods, along with qualitative and quantitative ways, concluded that the north square of wild goose pagoda in Xi'an is the best place for the center of tour dispatch. On the basis of the primary center, a number of sub-centers should be set up which are Xi'an railway station, Lintong, the square of bell and drum tower, Xian yang International Airport. Xi'an tour dispatch center must learn from other cities'successful experience and choose Xi'an tourism development model of tour dispatch center. The study of its planning strategy included functional structure layout, spatial layout, operation strategies.
