The Preliminary Study On The Layout Of Urban Space Of ChongQing In Qing Dynasty

Urban historical geography is to study the rise of the city, development and evolution of subjects. The layout of urban space is a natural part of the city's historical geography, to some extent also reflects the city's historical transformation. This article discuss the change of the distribution of spatial layout of Chongqing in Qing dynasty from the perspective of historical geography as well as the specific reasons for this change.The urban areas of Chongqing had developed and changed a lot in Qing dynasty.the external factors and internal factors, together, had brought profound changes to the the streets and urban areas of Chongqing after the city was built.this article selected the changes of the layout of urban space in guangxu as the subject and analyzed the reasons for these changes. There were six sections in this article.The first chapter -The Introduction which discuss the significance of the topics,the definition of the historical urban geography,the review of the academic research, the difficulties and and research methods of this paper.The second chapter-Discuss the basic situation of the whole city of Chongqing, through the introductions of the location and the natural conditions as well as the changes of the development of Chongqing city from ancient times to now. "of the natural conditions in Chongqing City and early in Chongqing city," Through the introduction of the geographical location,the natural conditions and the development of Chongqing city, revealing the basic condition of Chongqing. This chapter also explore the development of the city of Chongqing in Ming and Qing Dynasties and sum up the transformation of the whole urban area.The third chapter-The first macro Chong qing fortresses described the layout of the situation, as well as fortresses in Chong qing since the change from the old analysis of the situation, and then maintained from the dynasty years, Figure 3 Comparison of Chong qing City, arrived in Chong qing urban spatial morphology The specific changes. Then in Chongqing City,17 gates and walls as a representative, systematic comparison of Chongqing city gates, and gate changes to the analysis of the circumstances. This section also compare the patterns of the space change by discrabing the layout of the main buildings in the city.The forth chaper-The space layout of the road system of Chongqing city inkuang Hsuemperor. Firstly, riationand development of Chongqing city in the Kuang Hsu emperor by means of analysing the variation of the road systems of Chongqing city.Secondly,the city gates coordinate, taking gates and main streets as a center,I set forth the road systems systematicly.The second part of this section is to explain the influence of the road lines to the city development based on analysing road lines outshirks of Chongqing. To discuss relevant content from two ways:surface transportation and water transportation. Water transportation has far-reaching impact to the development of land and water communication.The fifth chapter-Functional partition of Chongqing city in the time of KuangHsu emperor.This section I explain the influence of the the three functional partation:the military-political partation, shopping centre an handycraft industry partation, residents living areas to city Space distribution.After opened port,the importance of the military-political partation weakened reletively,the status of the residents living areas rised.But the shopping centre an handycraft industry partation can mostly reflect the urban functions of Chongiqng city during the time of KuangHsu emperor.The sixth chapter-The author mainly analysed the influence factors on space layout of Chong qing city.To explain the influencen of the affecting factors on city space layout from the factors natural environment, military factors, political factors,ecnomic factors and culture factors.At the moment, These factors having promoted the development of the city.
