In the Information society, the enterprise competition needs to share information resources. But there are several different databases in the internal and external of companies, which constitute a heterogeneous database system and make it be difficult for the enterprise to achieve the unified, transparent and efficient sharing of information. At present, the solution of the information sharing of the heterogeneous system is to use the database convert tool or middleware. However, these methods have some drawbacks such as heavy coupling, high costs and complicated to implement. The emergence of the service-based information sharing system has brought a new way for heterogeneous system. In this paper we study the architectures, model and key technologies of heterogeneous system's information sharing.In aspect to the sharing architecture, this paper presents a common information sharing architecture which is based on researching and analyzing on the existing systems: centralized architecture and distributed architecture. The common information sharing architecture can overcome the shortcomings of the original system and attract companies to join the sharing network actively, which could maximize the sharing resources.Regarding the sharing model, this paper proposes some improvements on the existing model based on the research of service-based sharing model. A service agent layer between the data service layer and client layer is added to complete the request package, service search, results analytic functions when client requests data service from the system, which solve the problem of communication between client and service layer. Besides, in this paper, we package data transfer operation as an independent service too, system can conduct data conversion service to achieve data conversion. It simplifies the tedious process of conversion.For the technology of information sharing, this paper focuses on metadata and interoperability technologies, including description of metadata, the definition of metadata files standard, storage and management of metadata and the implement process of interoperable functions based on web service.
