Study On Beijing Hui Ethnic Clothing Culture

Hui Nationality is one of the biggest nationalities in China, and the costume of the Hui people is also an important sect of the Chinese national clothing, which was listed in the fist national group of the non-material cultural heritages in 2006. But the study and the development of the costume of the Hui people are still at their gateways. 3 mosque communities in Beijing are chosen as the main respondents. First, Islamic culture is compared with Chinese culture; history of Chinese Hui and Beijing Hui is then reviewed; the current situation of the dress culture of Beijing Hui is surveyed to get a deep understanding of Beijing Hui clothing culture; and then in term of cultural integration, the complicated relation of the clothing culture of Beijing Hui with large cultural circle, group culture, social culture and individual clothing psychology is analyzed; finally, the development trend of dress of Beijing Hui is summarized the value of dress of Beijing Hui and the feasibility of development emphasized; and some suggestions are put forward for the designing and marketing of ethnic costumes; to find out new routes for cultural development of ethnic costumes in urban areas.
