| Processing trade is an important way for every country to participate in the international division of labor under the background of Economy Globalization. The essence is to complete different working procedures in global value chain according to the comparative advantage and factor endowment difference between countries, optimizing the allocation of resources and reducing the production cost. With the integration of world economy and the development of international division of labor, processing trade comes into being and plays a more and more important role in the international trade. Nowadays it has become one of the most important trade models in China.During 30 years of reforming and opening, China' processing trade has developed steadily. It has contributed much to the increase of the national income, the growth of the economy,the employment of the labor, the introduction of foreign capital and foreign exchange earning, etc. But there are still a lot of problems and shortcomings. These problems of processing trade not only operate against the development of itself, but also prevent it from taking a more active role in promoting the development of economy. The outbursts of financial crisis in 2008 have caused a lot of enormous bad impact on China' processing trade,which will be forced into a difficult position.So it's transformation and upgrading has become to a necessary choice.This thesis adopts the principle of integrate theory with practice, proceeds from the connotation of transformation and upgrading of the processing trade together with concerning theory, analyze the present status and problems of processing trade in China and the necessity about the transformation and upgrading, analyze the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats of transformation and upgrading of China's processing trade using the analyzing tools of SWOT analysis, then puts forward countermeasures based on the successful experience of developed areas in China and other countries. |
