Electricity marketing is the inevitable trend of electrical industry in developing. It results in the change of the conventional property structure of power system, and it causes a series of new technique problems. In electricity market, as a company entity, the power producer can maximize own profit by bidding strategy. How to establish bidding strategy has become the key issue for the power supplier. This dissertation focuses on the study of bidding strategy of independent power producer in the electricity market environment which is introduced competition only in supply side.Firstly, a comprehensive introduction of the recent work in this area is made, and the emphasis is put on the comparison and analysis. This paper research the electricity exchange model and market clearing price settlement mechanism and forming process. Secondly, the paper discussed the power market clear price, unified generation using linear offer function, analyzed the conditions under the perfect information on their strategic it can influence generation suppliers income and improve the market price. Establish a model which can reflect the basic characterisç–¤? of transactions, and the mathematic model of strategic importance to offer the simulation analysis. Based on the above, taking into account of the uncertain factors, using probability theory to describe the rival behavior, a two-level model of biddings trategies based on probability theory is established, The mathematical model of the algorithm and the framework is presented which is using genetic algorithm to get the optimal bidding parameters. It is studied that the effects of transmission congestion on the bidding strategies and the profits. The problem of developing optimal bidding strategies for generation suppliers with transmission congestion taken into account is systematically investigated, and a methodological framework for solving this problem is established. Finally, with the cases of the 4-bus system and 14-bus system, the above bidding problems are calculated and analyzed. The simulation results show that the proposed method is practicable and it can be adopted to guide the generation suppliers to draw up bidding strategy in the electricity market.
