| The inventory control has been paid great attention for a long time because of its importance in the cost control. Stock can take up the companies'space, occupy the current funds, and increase management fees, but the right inventory is a necessary need, in order to effectively alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand. So, how to control inventory has become very important to many companies. Inventory management affects not only the integrated cost of the enterprise, but also restricts the competitiveness of enterprises.Stock of raw materials is very important for the stability of production and the satisfaction of the enterprise's customers. Stock of raw materials is a double-edged sword: on the one hand, the enterprise must be in possession of certain raw materials inventory, in order to ensure uninterrupted production; on the other hand, enterprises must continue to reduce inventory, in order to reduce the funds occupation and the risks resulting from the sluggish materials. Whether the inventory of raw materials is reasonable, affects the production process and downstream customers'satisfaction. Generally speaking, the company likes to adopt the business-oriented transportation way for raw materials. How to fix a reasonable inventory to handle unexpected incidents is critical in some special circumstances. This paper is to study how to create accurate inventory on this context.Based on the analysis of the basic principle and method of inventory control as well as existing academic research on the basis of the inventory of raw materials, we introduced qualitative methods, and further propose an inventory control model for raw materials on multiple transport modes. In this paper, the problem's context is that an enterprise use a variety of transportation of raw materials procured transportation, when the main mode of transport failure, how to rationally determine the mode of transport for other traffic. We divide the long period planning into several cycles, analyze the transport delays, and develop a non-linear programming model. This model can be solved by enumeration.Finally, we give an application of the model by a chlor-alkali enterprise in Anhui province. The company need to use a certain raw materials largely, and under normal circumstances, it use rail transport mode, but occasionally there may be a train accident, so it store a large number of stocks in order to cope with such small probability events, thus takes up a large number of enterprise capital. Through the application of the model, we give a comparison between using the model before and after, find that the total cost of transport and storage of raw materials has greatly reduced. This confirms that the model proposed in this paper is feasible and effective for improving the prediction accuracy of the work and lower the total cost of logistics. |
