The reforming of China's financial system and commercial banks system have changed dramatically in the three decades of reforming and opening up, with foreign financial institutions opening up and the domestic market gradually pulling up the curtain, China's financial industry is positive and prudent to carry out its own changes Chinese city commercial banks are also in them. In such a special background, special status and special positioning, the objective on an inevitable requirement for its existence, develop and expand.In order to raising the city commercial banks'overall strength, the introduction of strategic investors - especially foreign strategic investors - is a very effective mechanism.Path from a technical point of view: Firstly, the analysis of advantage theoretical of city commercial banks which have introduced foreign strategic investors shows that foreign strategic investors is the best force to help the city commercial banks reforming and leading into foreign strategic investors, moreover this is feasible. secondly, the analysis of foreign strategic investors participating in city commercial banks in internal governance that affect their performance shows that foreign strategic investors will influence and improve the city commercial bank's internal governance through the ownership structure, board of directors, board of supervisors and senior management of the four aspects of internal governance factors, so as to enhance the city commercial bank performance and overall competitiveness. Finally, the analysis of foreign strategic investors participating in city commercial banks to the impact of external governance principles indicate that foreign strategic investors influence and improve commercial city external governance of banks through the capital market, product market and the three aspects of the creditor market external governance factors, so as to enhance the performance and overall competitiveness.Judging from the empirical studies: Using the eight city commercial banks which has been led into foreign strategic investors and gotten the annual Report as the research object, with the corporate governance theory and methods, after from two perspective to depth discuss foreign strategic investors entering the city commercial banks, by the banks corporate governance changes on bank performance and overall competitiveness of the impact of: First, selecting the eight city commercial banks in the annual report based on data, the selection based on FSIS's governance indicators and the performance of CCBs, security indicators in regression analysis, obtained after the introduction of foreign strategic investors, city commercial banks governance indicators and their performance, security relations; Secondly, the same to the above-mentioned eight city commercial banks in the annual report based on data, in the selection of foreign strategic investors based on governance indicators based on, and then selected on the town scale commercial banks and security, profitability and growth indicators, the city commercial bank to introduce foreign strategic investors before and after the indicators of these characteristics T test, drawn after the introduction of foreign strategic investors in all city commercial banks characteristic index trends.Through the analysis it comes: Chinese city commercial banks have markedly improved after the introduction of foreign strategic investors in its internal governance factors, and then performs it is helpful for the performance and overall competitiveness level, but for the external governance factors it is not obviously.
