| In recent years because of rising labor costs, the increasing appreciation of the RMB exchange rate and other factors, Shaoxing textile enterprises which is in the turning point of industrial upgrading is also facing increasing challenges as the cost is rising. In this case, it is important for the enterprises to know how to understand the cost efficiency in the status quo. In this paper, we used DEA methods (non-parametric cost frontier model) to systematically analyze cost efficiency of the Shaoxing textile enterprises. In this paper, we innovatively use the DEA methods (non-parametric cost frontier model) on the scale Shaoxing textile enterprises of different cost efficiency, developing the field of empirical application of this method, in the same time through objective evaluation of the cost efficiency of Shaoxing textile enterprises, it helps enterprises to formulate appropriate measures, it can be also references which is good for government to guide the revitalization of targeted policies.Specifically, First of all, based on the substantial domestic and international researches in cost efficiency, according to Farrell and Rangan, we divided cost efficiency into three dimensions: pure-technical efficiency, scale efficiency and allocation efficiency. Secondly, we did empirical research on the cost efficiency of Shaoxing textile enterprises with DEA method, with further analysis of the three dimensional efficiency, we deeply analyzed the current situations of Shaoxing textile enterprises. Then we did a comparison of cost efficiency between the Shaoxing textile enterprises and other listed textile enterprises. Based on the empirical analysis above, this paper has made these conclusions: the relative lack of allocative efficiency is main reason for the low efficiency of textile enterprises in Shaoxing, large-scale enterprises generally have low allocation efficiency; Enterprise with high cost efficiency are mainly due to high costs pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency; compared to other listed textile enterprises, Shaoxing textile enterprises have a higher cost efficiency. Finally, according to the research of the study, this paper made some suggestions. |
