The Research On Spillover Effects About Regional Comparison And Influencing Factors

Since the resumption in 1980, china's insurance industry has been developing rapidly, and its scale expands ceaselessly. The insurance industry has played an increasingly important role in flourishing financial markets and prospering market economy. At the same time, insurance has some unique function, such as risk management, financial compensation, financial intermediation and social management, can play a positive role to non-insurance sector. This paper not only uses the related theories to analyze the spillover effects that the various functions of insurance on the other sectors, but also analysis the influencing factors of the spillover effects and the influencing mechanism each factor to the spillover effects of insurance. On this basis, this paper applies two-sector model of Feder to test the real size of spillover effects of China's each provinces. We use the value of spillover effect of each province and the relevant factors which could affect the spillover effect to set up regression model. The empirical results show that the spillover effect is positive to insurance depth,GDP per capita and payment per capita, and is negative to insurance density.This paper concludes five parts—introduction, literature review, theoretical analysis, experiential analysis, conclusion and advice.In the part of introduction (Chapter 1), the issue to study has been put forward and the innovation and the study methods have been interpreted briefly.In the literature review section (Chapter 2), starts with a brief review on relative literature at home and abroad and then summarized theirs views.In the part of theoretical analysis (Chapter 3), puts forward the theoretical basis of economics about the spillover effects of insurance. First of all, we analyze the micro-mechanism of the promoting role of the especial function of insurance to the other sectors, and then we analyze the influencing factors of the spillover effect of insurance and the relationship between them.In the part of empirical analysis (Chapter 4, Chapter 5), starts with structuring a two-sector model including insurance sector and non-insurance sector, and then using data from 1994 to 2007 we analyzes the spillover effect of each province in China. Using the related data we set up an econometric model, which shows that the spillovereffect is positive to insurance depth,GDP per capita and payment per capita, and isnegative to insurance density.In the part of conclusion and advice (Chapter 6), on the bases of theoretical andexperiential analysis, we put forward our conclusion and advice.
