Study On The Economic Developing Mode Of New Socialist Villages

Economic achievements have been made in China since Reform and Opening up, with the living standard of the populace being promoted, whereas, the gap between rural areas and cities are conspicuously larger. To solve the more and more serious"three major problems of rural areas", the National Congress issued the document"Guidering Principles on How to accelerate the new-village construction by the Central Committee of the Communist Party", which proposed defenitely the construction aims of building up new socialist countrysides. The Third Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee of CPC was held on Oct.9,2008, which took much attention on the reform and development of rural areas in its agenda. All of these measures demonstrate that our government and Party are focusing on the construction of rural areas.As we all know that economy is the material basis and premise for the development of all socialist causes, the economic progress in the construction of new socialist villages thus becomes critically important, which can be depicted by the remarks of Deng Xiaoping "We should push forward the socialist modernization from all sides, with economic construction being oriented". Thus the economic progress in rural areas should be accelerated energeticly, considering the development of other careers as well.This paper, as a case of an empirical research on Zhuangzhai town in micro sense, perhaps is not universally significant, but at least, a real reflection of the fact that Zhuangzhai town has stepped into a well-off society in advance by developing the local economy vigorously. Zhuangzhai town has developed into an opulent rural area of new socialist villages and spurred on the economic progress of surrounding towns, creating a mode for the economic development of new socialist villages with its own characteristics. This article makes a comparison between the history of the town and its current conditions, makes a penetrating investigation and research on the economic developing mode of the town and also makes an objective analysis on its successful experience as well as its shortcomings, which offers an reference for other rural areas. In the end, this paper puts forward some suggestions of countermeasure on how to optimize the economy of new socialist villages, providing some references for the new-village-construction project as well.
