Studies On The Growth Issue Of China's Large-scale Enterprises Basing On The Perspective Of The Theory Of NCE

Large-scale enterprises are the pillar of the national economy, the propeller of the adjustment and upgrading of the economic structures, as well as one of the important symbols of the national comprehensive strength. Therefore, if any country wants to occupy a certain position in the contemporary world economy, they must have their own multinational enterprises. At present, majority of the world's multinational enterprises are from the developed capitalist countries. With the deepening of reform and opening up as well as the sustained and steady growth of our economic, China's large-scale enterprises are experiencing rapid-growing. However, due to the ownership structure, management system, the supply of institution and many other reasons, our large corporations, regardless of quantity or quality, there is a big gap comparing with West's large -scale enterprise. Therefore, the cultivation of our large-scale enterprise with international competitiveness and raise industrial concentration degree, is becoming the urgent and the arduous duty of our country's Government.However, there are still some disputes referring to the function of the large-scale enterprise in a country economy as well as the concrete interaction mechanism between the large-scale enterprise and economic growth. the former presents as the dispute between "the new oligarch leads the time" and "the big enterprise disintegration theory" , while the is the dispute between "the economies of scale" and "the division of labor and specialization" the struggle. this paper, from the theory angle, emphatically expounded the interaction mechanism among the large-scale enterprise, economic growth and increasing returns, from which we make some constructive preparation for the following study of our country's large-scale enterprises.The article is divided into 4 main parts: theory review, historical inspection and the international comparison of the China and US large-scale enterprise development, the theory explanation and the action mechanism as well as the opinions and the suggestions.The first part makes a simple review involving the relation among the large-scale enterprise, size of the enterprise as well as the economic growth. The second part is historical inspection and international comparison referring to the development of the China and US large-scale enterprises, and the studies show that, not only in its scale-rising time but its scale-reducing stage, US's large-scale enterprises present certain increasing returns. However, our large-scale enterprises' large scale haven't brought us the high efficiency as we expect, it not only exist a wide gap when comparing with many foreign large-scale enterprises ,but in domestic, as for the average absolute scale, the state-owned large enterprises is the largest, followed by collective enterprises, and the private enterprises is the minimum. But for the efficiency indicators, private sector is the most efficient sector, while the state-owned large-scale enterprises is to its opposite. The third part gives an explanation to the second part's international disparity under frame of the new classical economic, then through model the construction and the deduction, we carry on the research concerning the intrinsic relation among the large-scale enterprise, economic growth and increasing returns. In the fourth part, basing on the framework of NCE as well as the reality and questions of China's large-scale enterprises, we offer some valuable conclusions and constructive comments.
