Research On Strategy For Economic Development Of MengCheng

Speeding up the county economy is a significant strategic task which was proposed in The Sixteenth National Party Congress. It was also included in the report of the Congress and written in the Party's literature for the first time in November 2002 and in Central committee's No.1 document in January 2007,These national developing strategies indicated that strategies of county economy was paid attention to fully and also, the development of county economy supported strongly.The county economy is an important link between the basic economies and makes overall planning for urban and rural economic and social development. It's also a main power to promote economy development and an impetus for promoting greater and faster growth of economy. It has a significant meaning for solution of the problems facing agriculture, rural areas and farmers, Developing county economy is the natural requirements of carrying out the scientific concept of development, building a well-off and harmonious society across the country and the construction of the new countryside.The MengCheng County in Anhui Province sets an example as a big agricultural county and has a large development space .It has some advantages on natural resources, location, culture and cost. It also has a great opportunity when country gives big policy support. This paper takes MengCheng as an example, using the tool of SWOT analysis, combined with the present situation of MengCheng County. A detailed statement on Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats was given. Then some problems of MengCheng's development were found out and some suggestions can be summarized as six strategies: strategy of Trade and Investment Promotion, strategy of focusing on industry, strategy of industrializing operation of agriculture, strategy of urbanization, strategy of environment served county, strategy of relying on science and education .
