Study On The Promotion Strategies Of Agricultural Product Trade Between Fujian And Taiwan

Agriculture is the basic industry, as well as the pioneer industry for trading cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan. In the past two decades, as for trade filed, scale, policy, measures and achievements, Fujian plays a leading role, in developing agricultural cooperation across the Taiwan Strait, among all provinces and cities in Mainland China. Its leading mode has a meaningful reference on the future cross-strait agricultural cooperation.Influenced by the current trend of economic globalization and regional economic integration, agriculture business across the Taiwan Strait is exhibiting the trend of regionalization, incorporation and internationalization, which is represented not only by the increasing import and export volume of agricultural products, but more importantly by the continuing optimization of agricultural trading structure and enhancing competitiveness of agricultural products. Under such circumstance, how to make full use of the agricultural resources in both Fujian and Taiwan to build a win-win agricultural cooperation mode is the key to the sustainable development of agricultural exchange and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan.Taking the current situation of agricultural product trade between mainland China and Taiwan as its background, the paper summarizes the characteristics of agricultural product trade across the Taiwan Strait. It also analyzes the export market of agricultural products and evaluates the trade relationship between Fujian Province and Taiwan thoroughly according to the export growth rate and the market share of agricultural products. Meanwhile, with the help of RCA Index, the paper confirms those products with comparative advantage and defines the cooperation content, area and extent. Finally, by using SWOT, it analyzes the condition of the agricultural product trade between Fujian Province and Taiwan, suggests harmonious exporting system and mode of agricultural products in Fujian Province and Taiwan to melt conflicts, boost the industrial division and cooperation.In the aspect of research innovation, the thesis not only firstly analyzes the development stage of agricultural product trade between Fujian Province and Taiwan, gives the main basis, which can tell people how to divide the development stage, and the characteristics of every stage by summarizing the current situation of agricultural products and combining the economics theory analysis with Economic policy analysis, but also creates an advanced mode of agricultural product trade, which can be used for reference in the future. By taking the main activities of Chaoda Modern Agriculture Group in agricultural product trade as examples, with empirical analysis this paper proposes the reference role of the leading mode of agricultural product trade to the future development of agricultural cooperation across the Taiwan Strait. According to the new situation and characteristics of agricultural communication and cooperation between mainland China and Taiwan, the paper makes a further discussion on the research result of agricultural product trade and finally puts forward basic methods and main countermeasures to improve the development of agricultural product trade.
