The Study On Effect Factors Of Listed Companies' ERP Implement Information Voluntary Disclosures

With the developing of Information Technology,the investment in Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) increases rapidly.ERP is complex as invests in it is huge and investment cycle is long.ERP also relates to the change of management idea such as Business Process Reengineering(BPR).So the implement of ERP will bring important influence to companies. But there is not any accounting rule about Information Technology(IT) investment.The SEC don't have obligatory information disclosure rule about ERP,the disclosure of ERP is voluntary information disclosure.Under this background,listed companies' choice about ERP information disclosure of is the choice of accounting policy.The disclosure content and form of ERP may be manipulated greatly.There are may some critical factors affecting the choice of ERP information disclosure.The paper selects the listed companies that disclosed the implement of ERP in the period from 2005 to 2007 in their annual report as researched sample.The paper based on a regression model to analyst the influence factors about ERP information voluntary disclosure choice.The conclusions indicate that the needing of FinDemand,financial position,size,performance after implanting ERP,industry of an enterprise has significant relation with the disclosure of ERP information voluntary disclosure.There isn't no evidence to prove that the ERP information disclosure have relation with ROA.Additionally,through collecting and analyzing the disclosed content about ERP,author finds that the content and form of ERP information disclosure is lack of consistency and comparability.The useful information contained in ERP information voluntary disclosure is very lack.Especially the disclosure about risky and problem in ERP implement is few.The response of market about the ERP implement disclosure is positive.But the situation of ERP information disclosure may mislead investors.So it's very necessary to rule the ERP information disclosure.
