The 21st century is a time of knowledge-based economy,in which knowledge will take the place of authority and capital and plays an essential role.Our human society has also accordingly entered a new stage where the development of productive power depends on people's activity,and thus the construction of it is gaining more and more attention of people in the theoretical circle.The fifth session of the sixteenth plenary assembly of Chinese communist party has put forward a historical task of great significance for the construction of new-style socialist countryside,i.e.,"advanced production,well-off life,cultivated village custom,tidy appearance,and democratic administration".Undoubtedly,farmers should serve as the protagonist in the construction However feudal self-for-self economic style and pianning economical system has made our tranditional famens conservative and self-content.And theylack the quality to break away from the obsolete ideolody,to change their present situation,and can't piay an active rolein organizing,knowing and upgrading theirselves. Allthese listed above will definitely become the stumbling block on the way to new-style countryside.Therefore,the issue,i.e.how to upgrade famer's qualionty,how to research and improve their quality,has gained thoretical significance and practical importance.We have made great stride in the field of construction of individual aptitude,while in that of farmer we still lack of an intergrated and systymatic study.This thesis aims to illustrate the necessity of the cultivation of new-style farmer on the basis of scholar's theoretical achievement both at home and abroad about the following aspects,i.e., quality cultivation,human resource construction in new-style conntryside, and other sides related to the alike issue.It sets out to analyze the factors that deters the construction of farmer's aptitude fyom the angle of social history,system,politics and culture,etc.Based on these factors,the author launches detailed research on the structure of famer's individual quality, and comes up with a series of strategies and suggestions from the light of social system and etc.The whoie paper consists of fouy chapters.Firstly,it lays emphasis on the necessity and emergency of the quality-construction in consideration of the essence and reguirements of new style countryside construction.The paper also makes discourses on the connotations of potential,quality and aptitude cultivation,as wellas the interreiationships among them.Secondly,the writer pays special attention to the requisite structure of aptitude and detailed qualifications.He makes a systematical analysis on the factors that hinder the upgrading of farmer's aptitude on the basis of the influence on the part of historical development,the practical situation and reality of farmer's individical quality,as well as the recent social environment economic and political system.Finally,based on the construction of social system,the perfection of social environment,the promotion of individual aptitude,a series of strategies are put forward, which serves as guidances in the practice of farmer's ability construction.
