Research On The Disruption Management Of Emergent Events In Supply Chain

With accelerated development of economy globalization,industrialization and urbanization of most country,serious natural calamity,accidents,public sanitation incidents and social security incidents happen occasionally,and new problems emerges endlessly.These incidents will increase the instability of internal and external supply chain environment,and then disturb the supply chain coordination.In this case,on one hand,they will reduce the profits of supply chain;on the other hand,it's a threat to the survival of the enterprise,so it's important to treat them timely and response positively. Due to tremendous occasionality and randomicity,we are not familiar with the distribution,so it's difficult to response the emergent events timely and effectively in supply chain.At the present time,the research on disruption management in supply chain is still at the initial stage,for this situation,the paper executes a systematic research on it.Beginning with the base theory of studying emergent events and disruption management,the paper introduces the concepts,classification and characteristics of emergent events and the concepts,guiding principle,system framework of disruption management,it lays basis for further research.Then the paper expounds the policy and mechanism of disruption management in supply chain,and discusses the process and safeguard measures of disruption management.The forth chapter studies the demand disruption and production cost disruption,it is assumed that demand is dependent on the product's retail price,the demand is a decreasing function in retail price,two problems are studied in the paper:â‘ Under linear price demand relationship,studies how to design new coordination all-unit wholesale quantity discount policies(AQDP) in centralized and decentralized decision making fashion when emergent events lead to the variance of demand sensitive coefficient and cause non-linear cost function in three level supply chain,and then give some numerical examples to illustrate the results to show the importance of disruption management.â‘¡Under linear price demand relationship and production cost disruption,using AQDP,investigates how to coordinate the disrupted supply chain in two level supply chain.In general,the results obtained in this thesis show that no matter demand disruption or production cost disruption,the production plan may deviate from the original one,which often causes some extra cost named Deviation Cost.Also,the original plan has some robustness due to existence of deviation cost.In view of the degree of disruption in both cases of demand and production cost disruptions,the optimal solutions corresponding to the disruption supply chain have the same structure and can be categorized as four cases.When the supplier and the retailer are both independent decision-makers,the disrupted supply chain can be coordinated by similar AQDP.At last,does an empirical analysis on disruption management of steel ore requirement of chongqing iron&steel co.ltd.The paper is concluded in Chapter 6 with some further researches.
