As the two strongest nations in East Asia, China and Japan have great impact to the integration of the area. These two countries do not work together, which makes the lack of leader of integration, causes that the integration could not get great advance. The complex political, economic, social and technologic environment of East Asia demands a great leader to lead the integration, but the advantages and disadvantages of China and Japan tell us that China or Japan could not be leader by itself. Through the analysis of three cases: neither be leader, race to be leader, cooperate to be leader, and the provision of three models: public goods game, eagle-dove game, textbook game, we find that only the lead by China and Japan together is the best choice of east Asia. According to the channels from non-cooperation status to cooperation status in game theory, including the forms of the cooperation dominant, contractual commitments, bargaining and unlimited duplicate game, we have concluded that: to achieve a lead of Sino-Japanese cooperation, China and Japan need to expand areas of cooperation and seek win-win situation; increase contractual commitments to establish mutual trust; to accelerate the pace of negotiations to seek common ground while reserving differences; to insist healthy competition to create a great blueprint of east Asia. |
