Corporate culture, as the managerial trend, was proposed at the beginning of 1980's. John Kete, a management expert of the United States, says if you are successful, you must have corporate culture no matter whether you want it or not. And if you don't have corporate culture, you are one of those companies which have been unsuccessful for a long time, and will continually fail. Yu Guangyuan, a Chinese economist, says richness and strength of a country depends on the economy, economic prosperity depends on enterprises, enterprises'thriving depends on management, and management depends on the culture. It reflects a viewpoint: the corporate culture is the soul of an enterprise, and the important mainstay of the growth and development of an enterprise. But the corporate culture can be classified into the superior culture and inferior culture. Superior corporate culture can enhance the competency of the enterprise and promote the development of the enterprise. On the contrary, inferior corporate culture can hinder the development of enterprise. In order to judge corporate culture, the enterprise needs to assess corporate culture systematically and scientifically. So, first of all, the enterprise must have a sufficient understanding of the corporate culture. The effective method to fully understand the corporate culture is to establish evaluation system of corporate culture through analysis of the dimensions of the corporate culture. Therefore, the analysis and research of dimension of the corporate culture are very important for the analysis of corporate culture and sustainable development of the enterprise.This paper, based on the correlative theory of the domestic corporate culture and foreign corporate culture, combines the practice of corporate culture existing in China Eastern with the theory of corporate culture, and adopts the method of survey on the spot to analyse corporate culture of China Eastern chiefly under the viewpoint of culture dimensions, which includes employee contribution, employee development, harmonization, pragmatism, leadership behavior from the internal integration dimension, and customer-oriented, future-oriented, innovation-oriented and social responsibility from the external adaptation dimension. On the basis of elaborate analysis of the corporate culture of China Eastern, the author points out the existing problems of corporate culture in China Eastern, and proposes suggestions to build the corporate culture of China Eastern. Analyzing corporate culture of China Eastern by corporate culture at dimensions, this paper not only lays a solid theoretical foundation for the diagnosis and assessment of the corporate culture of China Eastern, but also has a realistic applying value for building the corporate culture of China Eastern.
