Finance is the blood line of economic. Risk is intrinsic to any financial events. The extensive existence of risk is an important characteristic of modern financial markets. State-owned commercial banks are the main body of the national financial system, with their operating status directly impacting on the stability of national economic development. Credit risk is one of the major risks facing the commercial banks in their business, and has always been a key subject of risk management. In our nation, despite the fact that the personal credit business has spurred into a fast-growing market since the1990s, it is still a relatively new business to most state-owned commercial banks. With no available mode to follow, the risk management of personal credit has not yet been individualized and systemized, and is still a subordinate part of the general risk management.Based on the fast growth of personal credit business in our national commercial banks, we analyzed their current risk status, as well as the causes of personal credit risk. Following the international experiences, we found the external and internal factors that determined the personal credit risk and those limiting its development in the A Bank, and gave corresponding advice and suggestions for improvement. |
