Modern industry has entered into an age of automatism and information. With the emerging of new technology, many production and management activities can be finished by automatic equipments and computers. However, some enterprises are not so fortunate. Especially many Chinese medium and small enterprises are at the elementary phase of industrial modernization. And they not only fail to use the automatic production equipments completely because of the great costs but also lack the money to apply some advanced management software into production activities. At the same time, many managers of an enterprise come from the front line of production, and they often spend most of their energy on solving some technical problems while neglecting some management activities including the establishment of production plan and the control of production progress. So it is very urgent to find a simple but practical way to improve the management work of an enterprise and the management skills of the mangers.This essay presents a comparatively scientific model of the production progress according to the sequence from receiving order to making production plan by applying the theory of TOC into finding the bottleneck procedure in production progress. In order to make the analysis clear, the writer uses some simple but intuitional tools, for example, some graphs and Gunter charts and etc. At the same time, examples are also given to show how to arrange the sequence of production plan and establish the sequence plan of single-bottleneck production activities. The plan can in deed improve the production capacity of a system by recognizing the bottleneck and making full use of resources. It can both improve the efficiency of the former and the following working procedure according to the production speed of the bottleneck. The essay also presents some ensuring measures that should be finished by an enterprise to cooperate with the sequence arrangement of production plan by analyzing the production characteristics and management status quo of the enterprise.This paper is divided into six chapters.
