In the context of China's accession to WTO and the reform of market economy have steadily intensified, the manufacturing enterprises in our country have faced severe challenges which were brought by the international economic integration. Part of manufacturing enterprises put up joint-venture reorganization, through the cooperating with the transnational corporations, actively introduce capital technology and advanced management techniques, in order to ensure self market competition. Along with the accumulation of international cooperating experience and the improvement of manager diathesis, joint-venture enterprises come to realize the importance of the knowledge transfer. However, during the implementation process, enterprises seem to lack a suit of effective method to evaluate effect of knowledge transfer, or find out the key restricted factor, thus they can establish the plan of knowledge transfer or revise the measures of implementation.This dissertation start a research on knowledge transfer from the angle of joint-venture manufacturing enterprises in our country. Firstly, literature about knowledge transfer and related performance evaluation is reviewed. On the basis of this, knowledge constitutional in manufacturing enterprises is analyzed on two aspect, which are function of design for products and function of operational management .After that, by analyzing the source of knowledge, mode of transfer, process of transfer, features of knowledge transfer in manufacturing enterprises is expounded. The influence factors of knowledge transfer is summed up, including influence factors of contributor and demander of knowledge ,mode of knowledge transfer and situation of knowledge.On the basis of this, index system is established for knowledge transfer performance evaluation in manufacturing enterprises, with expert scoring , Delphi and analytical hierarchy process(AHP) method. This dissertation use the mind of demonstration analysis, take a questionnaire survey based on more than 10 cases studies of joint-venture manufacturing enterprises .Then make data analysis with the pure-output DEA and composite DEA model. According to this, we find out knowledge foundation of both sides of joint-venture and the positivity of knowledge transfer will make a great difference, and development of knowledge transfer in joint-venture manufacturing enterprises have the characteristic that: codification comes first, then personalization. To solve these problems, this dissertation present two proposals to take a research on improve effect of joint-venture manufacturing enterprises: promote the strategic role of knowledge transfer in enterprise's joint-venture reorganization; set down knowledge transfer strategy by stages.
