The Research On Indigenization Design Of Small Kitchen Electrical Applicances

As the society and economy developed, globalization has become the major theme of the world. In the mean time, tons of household electrical appliances have come into our sight. However, these household electrical appliances are not designed for Chinese consumers, are manufactured by the technology imported directly from the overseas. Therefore, these kinds of products show their problems while using which will affect the popularization in Chinese market. As one of these products, small kitchen electrical appliances have already faced this problem. On the question of how small kitchen electrical appliances take the Chinese market, the key word is localization.In this essay, the author studies on the theory of globalization and localization in the very beginning. In chapter one, the paper analyzes the trend of globalization and localization on the base of studying the localization design under the globalization view. The main topic of chapter two is to discuss the present condition of domestic small kitchen electrical appliances market on localization from the aspects of form and functions. Then the essay reviews the localization process of the small kitchen appliances by analyzing the examples in chapter three, and achieves the localization design theory of the small kitchen appliances in order to dig the deeper impact elements of the localization design including consuming factor, environmental factor, cultures of dining and the family population. In chapter four, the author discusses these four elements one by one. At last, the paper gives a conclusion that the indigenization design of small kitchen appliances is a result of common influence of the Chinese dining habit and other aspects.
