Research On The Influence Of The Market Structure Of Vertical R&D Cooperation Between Enterprises

Along with economic globalization, increasing international competitiveness is strategic objective for each country, particularly for developing countries. From the perspective of industrial development, technology is the source of international competitiveness. For the uncertainty of independent R&D is huge, many companies participate in R&D cooperation, including cooperation between stream and downstream firms. In real life, vertical R&D cooperation is one of the most forms of R&D. But in the field of research, it hasn't caused too much attention. This paper analyzes the effects of the four different vertical market structures to vertical R&D cooperation.This paper mainly studies the vertical R&D cooperation from the point of market structure perspective. From the qualitative angle,we research the influence to vertical R&D cooperation of the characteristic of cost and risk and the mechanism of cost and risk assignment.Based on some suppositions,from the quota angle,we have carried on the model to the four kinds of market structure of vertical R&D cooperation ,and then obtain the influence of vertical market structure to vertical R&D cooperation.We believe that the possibility influence of vertical market structure of the industrial chain to the formation of vertical R&D cooperation.Compared to the monopolizing market structure,the competitive market structure can better promote the upstream and downstream enterprises vertical R&D cooperation.And compared to the monopolizing upstream industrial structure,the competitive industrial structure is more helpful for the upstream manufacturers to participate vertical R&D cooperation and the competitive downstream industrial structure is more helpful for the downstream manufacturers to participate vertical R&D cooperation, compared to the monopolizing industrial structure.
