With increasing globalization, trade in services has become one of the most rapidly developing areas in the international trade. In particular, the final sign of the "General Agreement on Trade in Services" (GATS) in the "Uruguay Round" in 1994, has becoming the milestone in the development of the world trade in services globalization, which greatly promoted the development of world trade in services. In developed countries, the output of the service sector accounts for more than 60% in GDP, of its economy has entered a "post-industrial stage", the gravity of economic center starts from manufacturing to services. The core of the international trade competition began to shift from the trade in goods to the trade in services. For example, in the past few decades, the United States with the huge trade surplus making up for its huge trade deficit. In recent years, China's trade in services, especially after the accession to the WTO, has developed rapidly, but the overall competitiveness is still weak. How to enhance the competitiveness of China's trade in services is facing ahead the majority of scholars.This article analyzes the competitiveness of China's trade in service from the qualitative and quantitative aspects. Qualitative analysis establishes an index system which measures a country's trade competitiveness, including: comparative advantage index, the revealed comparative advantage index, the international market share, export growth advantage index, trade openness of services sectors and Porter's "Diamond Model ". The quantitative analysis mainly exerts the revealed comparative advantage index and trade competitiveness advantage index to analyze the competitiveness of China's trade in service.Based on the analysis of the competitive qualitative and quantitative of China's trade in services, several targeting proposals in the last part of the thesis are putting forward as follows: accumulate the comparative advantages, expand exports of trade in services; increase investment in education to enhance the quality of the competitive elements; speed up personnel training in the field of trade in services; adjust the internal Structure of trade in services in order to speed up the development of knowledge-intensive service trade; intensify efforts to stimulate domestic demand; increase the support for the relevant industries and promote the coordinated development among industries; establish of a real fair, just, open and orderly competitive environment; exert great efforts to reform the government's management of the service model, greatly boost the level of management; establish and improve the laws and regulations of services and trade in services; improve the primary environment of the service industry development, seize the opportunity to enhance the competitiveness of our international trade in services; emphasis on the development of the degree of market development. |
