The Study Of Cost Management For Construction Corporations Based On Value Chain Theory

The economic and social environment has changed a lot for our country's construction corporations. The shortcomings of traditional theory and methods for costs management are becoming so obvious that corporations can no longer make cost and management decisions based on those outdated theory and methods . In order to survive,improve and develop in today's competitive market,corporations need to find new ways to cut their costs . Based on the analysis of existing cost management problems of our country's construction corporations,this thesis puts forward the concept of strategic cost,borrows the idea of value chain theory,extends the content of outer value and inner value chain,analyzes every component of the value chain, and this thesis proposes the costs control method based on value chain theory.The first part of the thesis introduces the thesis's study goal and background, it demonstrates synoptically the thesis study thoughts and framework. The second part of the thesis discusses the existing costs management problems in our country's construction corporations. The third part introduces the basic concept of value chain theory and analyzes the value chain flow. The fourth part of the thesis analyzes the formation of the construction corporation value chain, The last part of the thesis quotes real cases to support the value chain theory, then briefly introduces the implementing steps of cost control method based on value chain theory. The study of this thesis aims to find a new way to improve the cost management level and lower construction costs of our country's construction corporations.
