Research On The Optimization Control Method Of Aperiodic Ticket

Aperiodic ticket is a new flexible seat control method, brought up during the development of revenue management. It has been put into practice by foreign and domestic airlines, but the research on it is inadequate. Based on the theory of revenue management, we provide an overview of the achievements in seat inventory control methods and study the optimization control problem of aperiodic ticket. First, the characteristics of aperiodic ticket and its executive feasibility are analyzed, and the target market and economic problems are investigated by applying consumer behaviour theory. Second, we study the optimization control method of the quantity of aperiodic ticket. Using the expected revenue and EMSR, we set up a model to maximize the total revenue of multi-flight. A heuristic algorithm has been presented in this paper and we analyze the influence of the quantity and the price of aperiodic ticket on the total revenue. Third, we study the distrubition of aperiodic ticket granted the quantity of aperiodic ticket. We set up a model of the dynamic seat distribution problem of multi-flight, and present a recursion algorithm. Finally, we code the algorithms by MATLAB language and validate the two models and algorithms by instances. It shows that the optimization control of aperiodic ticket can increase revenue of airlines effectively.
