Study On Regional Main Function Zones Planning

Since the Outline of "11th Five-Year Plan"proposed to divide state-owned land space into four types of main function zones such as optimal development zones, key development zones, restricted development zones and prohibited development zones, the main function zones has become the hot spots the community's concern about. The construction of main function zones is China's innovative initiative for the promotion of regional coordinated development, the main function division is an important basis to build orderly regional development pattern of our country.First, the article describes the guidelines and basic theory of regional main function zones planning; discusses on the foreign experience of implementation of main function zones planning and its revelation to China. Then takes Yancheng as example to review, analyse and evaluate the status quo, characteristics and problems of the development of main function zones of Yancheng City. Lastly, brings forward some thoughts on how to carry out main function zones planning of Yancheng City, thinks that main function zones planning of Yancheng City should be combined with regional facts intensify policy support, to develop the regional characteristic industry group, and follow a new path of sustainable development.
