A Study Of Economic Growth And Income Distribution In China

Economic growth and income distribution are closely related to people's lives.And it is one of the questions most frequently discussed by the economic circles all the time that economic growth and income distribution have been concerned. But what a kind of relation is it on earth to assign to economic growth and income distribution,up till now people have not given out asatisfactory and very effective explanation yet theoretically; correspondingly, people are unable to offer the effective policies directed against realistic conflicts and contradictions between income distribution and economic growth. Consequently, it is necessary to use the scientific mode of thinking and research approach to deepen the analysis and discussion systematically again as to this question according to realistic economic conditions and environments.With the deepening of economic reform, the system of China's household income distribution has changed dramatically. The reform of China's household income distribution has broken the absolute equality of income distribution in the planning economy, greatly aroused the broad masses of the people's work enthusiasm, prompted the economic growth in China, but it has caused the enlargement of household income gap at the same time. The enlargement of China's household income gap has more and more serious negative influence on the development of society and economy in our country, and arouses great attention of the whole society.On the basis of domestic and international relevant researches,the thesis make a theoretical analysis on the relationship of economic growth and income distribution, holding that the relationship, promoted and affected mutually, is dynamic and organic. Then I point out the mechanism of this relationship.In combination of theories and practices,this dissertation first describes the situation of China's household income gap,discusses the degree of China's household income gap, then analyzes the influence of enlarging income gap on economic growth from the viewpoint of household consumption and education. Total to say, the relationship between Economic growth and income gap in the transformation period contains two characteristic: One is the extension effect that the Economic growth factor assigns to the income gap stronger than the improvement effect; the other is the income gap produces the certain negative effect to Economic growth, direct or indirectly repressed the economic growth. On the basis of the analysis on the thesis,I give some advices on improving the relationship of economic growth and income distribution.
