The Programming Of Shenhua Coastal Collier Fleet Construction

China national economy had been developing fast, steady and continuously in the past ten years. Remarkable economic growth imposes greater demand in electricity, which comes along with higher requirement in coal since China employs a heat power system. The coal transportation structure of north to south and west to east has been made, which promote the development of coastal collier fleet.Shenhua plays a key role in domestic coal transportation. The security of its coal transportation network directly concerns national economic growth and social stableness. Shenhua has invested to have its own coal mine, yard, railway and heat power station, which all contribute to an independent coal supply network. However, Shenhua has to count on joint fleet to accomplish coastal coal transportation due to its lack of self-owned fleet. Obviously, this has become the bottleneck of Shenhua coal transportation network. If it remains a problem, the network efficiency and further development will be stumbled, which in turn brings even more pressure into the network.This paper studies the cargo volume of major lines in Shenhua coastal network and the features of shipping market. According to Shenhua development trend in the future, the author analyzes the fundamental problem in network concerning operation mode. Considering the restriction of the coal runoff, ports situation, handling capability and so on, we put forward the fundamental demand for the ship size choosing on the line. Describing comprehensively the ship size ,we work over the restriction among ships DWT ,principal dimensions ,speed/oil consuming, the size of main engine, and so on . With the above condition we lay a model which the revenue per day as its objective function.An optimal development mode is proposed for Shenhua fleet. It can not only significantly lower logistics cost, modify logistics system, improve operational efficiency, avoid certain risk, but also set a model for other companies in the same industry and make the domestic coastal transportation network a better one.
