On The Company's Environmental Responsibility

The theory Of traditional company views that it is of primary importance of the interests of shareholders and that shareholders are the only interest owners .the company is only responsible for the shareholders. However, companies are playing an increasingly important role in the political and economic life in the modern society and bringing about serious pollutions and destruction to the environment in the pursuit of profit maximization at the same time. Serious environmental problems prompted people to reflect the causes and soIutions.To enable the company to better its environmental obligations, studies on corporate environmental responsibility have been carried out and the factors of theory and reality and solutions to environmental problems have been proposed. so corporate environmental responsibility becomes the hot spots in the theoretical circle. In this paper, the author also study the environmental responsibility of the company and follows the overall question - solutions to those problems and the total is divided into three parts: The first part is legal analysis, outlined the company's environmental responsibility and the meaning of features, pointed out that the origin of corporate environmental responsibility and development. The second part analysises the necessity and feasibility of the company's commitment to environmental responsibility. the Third part is the focus of this paper, briefly analysises of the shortcomings of a single adjustment mechanism,proposes the company's comprehensive adjustment mechanism of commitment to environmental responsibility that is the improvement of legislative,administrative regulation and control, judicial protection, the company self-regulation, the public's participation. these adjustment mechanisms integrated use of complementary advantages, and jointly promote corporate environmental made useful to the system, so pragmatic attitude, with a view on how to achieve corporate environmental responsibility to be helpful to explore.
