Research Into The Efficiency Of Technological Innovation Of China's Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry

Measuring an industry or regional level of technological innovation from the perspective of efficiency, which is a better objective evaluation of perspective recognized by domestic and foreign scholars. Now the study on efficiency of technological innovation of pharmaceutical manufacturing high-tech industry is less in China. Medicine manufacturing industry is an important industry related to whole develop of country, efficient technology and innovation is the driving force for the continuous development of industry source. How to Combine China's characteristics of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, select the appropriate evaluation indicators, evaluation methods, and evaluate the industry's efficiency of technological innovation objectively, are main problems to solve in this paper. Based on the numeral indicators, we built a model using the stochastic production frontier function on Cobb - Douglas production function. We carried on a reckoning to our nation-wide medicine manufacturing industry as well as the efficiency of technological innovation of the east and mid-west area over a scale from 1996 to 2005. The results of the study can comprehensively and objectively tell the details of technological innovation efficiency, therefore can be greatly used in improving the level of technology innovation, and also it provides some guidance and help to accelerate the development of the industry.First, the article clearly tells the background of the research, purpose and the structure of the overall framework, this study highlights the major findings and innovation. Secondly, based on the defined concept of technical innovation, recalls the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry at home and abroad particularly in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry on the progress of technological innovation. We analyzed the perspective of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry on the issue of technological innovation. Third, on the background of international trade, we analyzed China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry's current situation and briefly described China's relevant laws and regulations on the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and the impact of technological innovation . The fourth main part of the article was constructed on random border production function (SFA), China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry efficiency model of technological innovation was also used. We did an estimation on the manufacturing efficiency and technological innovation eastern, central and western regions. From studying we can find the following: China's pharmaceutical manufacturing as a whole industry is less efficient of technological innovation, the development of central and western east region is not balance. On the basis of summing up the input-output situation of technological innovation, this paper carries out measurements and suggestions focused on improving China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and technical innovation efficiency, and prospects following study.
