Enterprise's success mostly depends on its condition of human resources. At the present stage, career planning has been the hot topic among enterprises all around the world, and it has been implemented in some enterprises abroad and great achievements have been made by them. However, in China, awareness of career planning remains underdeveloped, especially in the state-owned enterprises. Even though some enterprises have already renamed personal management to human resources management, the traditional management modal is still unchanged. Therefore, basing on the analysis of the current situation and drawback of the traditional career development in state-owned enterprises, this thesis intends to advocate the necessity of a new system for career planning and management so as to design and implement it for the staff in those state-owned enterprises, through which the management of the staffs'career development will be strengthened and the career requirement between individual and enterprise will be matched, eventually, the enterprise's objective will be achieved.Concerning study on the staffs'career planning and management in state-owned enterprises, on the one hand, this thesis intends to introduce the achievements and practical experience in the related field abroad so as to be taken as a reference for our enterprises; on the other hand, this thesis aims to borrow some operant reference for staffs'career management in state-owned enterprises.This thesis is divided into four chapters,In the first chapter, the concept of career planning and management is introduced at fist, then the purpose and significance this study is given. Meanwhile, it elaborates the related study abroad and at home briefly, basing on which the train of though of this thesis is inspired.In the second chapter, an analysis of the current situation of staffs'career development in state-owned enterprises in our China is given from four aspects as well as the mis-understanding in this process. Then the influential factors of the staffs'career planning and management are clarified as well as its necessity.In the next chapter, the principle and essential portion for the staffs'career planning is advocated firstly, basing on which the process design is proceed. Then the problems which should be paid attention during the implement are raised.In the last chapter, the staffs'career planning and management in W Group, which is a state-owned enterprise, is analyzed. On the basis of analyzing the success and failure of this corporation, the enlightenment for other state-owned enterprises is advocated.
