The Research On China's Technology-Oriented FDI

"Science and technology are the primary productivity", and the competition between states is actually the competition of scientific and technological strength. Based on the significance of technology, China have proposed the "market for technology" strategy in the early stage of reform and opening, and expected to promote our country's technical level depending on the technical spillover effect of FDI, by introducing foreign capital. But the domestic scholars'research has showed that this was not the case. After that, independent innovation strategy has also been putted forward, hoping that increasing research investments help to upgrade the technological level. But a series of subjective and objective constraint factors have reduced the efficiency of technology innovation. In order to reduce the technology gap with the developed countries rapidly, and improve China's technical competitive advantages[0], to carry out technical-oriented FDI actively must be China's inevitable choice.This thesis studies China's technology-oriented FDI. Firstly, based on the Western FDI theories, the thesis discusses the theory of technology-oriented FDI. In the followed chapter ,the cause, significance, feasibility and necessity of technical-oriented FDI for our country have been analyzed. The last two chapters analyze China's technology-oriented FDI's actuality and the problems we are confronting, and give the advices of the solution strategy.
