The ecological footprint analysis is a new method to estimate the natural resource degree of utilization by human and the sustainable development in resent years. The traveling ecological footprint is the application of the ecological footprint in the study of tourism, which is narrate by sensible land measure of all kinds of resource consume and castoff absorption of tourist in scenic spot in the tour process, then, it help us to understand the tour requirement and environment infection of the tour activity, and judge the environment quality. This thesis chooses the Mt. Erlang national forestry park as the research area, based on the ecological footprint theory, tourists' consumption and consume characteristic, adopt the 3S technology, mathematics stat and spot stat, according to the study of traveling ecological footprint, background footprint and dynamic ecological carrying capacity, educe the following conclusions (all data were the data of 2004 year.):1. The ecological footprint of Mt. Erlang national forestry park in 2004 was 1381.897 hm~2, which was 1626.013hm~2 after balanced. The traveling ecological footprint was 88.67% of the ecological footprint, which was 90.6% after balanced. The traveling ecological footprint occupied the overwhelming superiority.2. The traveling ecological footprint divided into six department ,which was the transportation, the accommodation, the catering, the shopping, the sightseeing and the entertainment, and amounts to 1473.02hm~2, 0.0167hm~2 per capita, the traveling accommodation ecological footprint was biggest of all, accounts for 26.00%. Compared with other scenic areas, the Mt. Erlang national forestry park traveling ecological footprint was in the high level per capita.3. The background ecological footprint of Mt. Erlang national forestry park in 2004 was 152.993 hm~2, 0.654 hm~2 per-capita, the ecological footprint was at a relatively low level. Compared with other similar area, the background ecological footprint of Mt. Erlang national forest park was lower than the Huangshan city and Mt. Qingcheng, higher than Mt. Lu, which separately 47.9%of Huangshan city, 31.68% of Mt. Qingcheng, and 1.85times of Mt. Lu.4. The ecological carrying capacity amounts to 33494.714hm~2, remove 12% of biodiversity conservation, the available ecological capacity is 29475.349hm~2, 125.963hm~2 per-capita for residents. The available ecological capacity per-capita is 186.86 times of the ecological footprint (traveling Ecological Footprint and Ecological Footprint "stack"). Comparing to the available ecological capacity, the Mt. Erlang national forestry park is 573 times of Mt. Lu, 100.6 times of Huangshan city and 152.6 times of Mt. Qingcheng.5. The average tourist output of 1hm~2 ecological footprint is 11,607 Yuan per capita, which was 1.4 times of the world, and it is the best of the compared scenic spots, which was 1.1 times of the average residents' output that of 1hm~2 ecological footprints was 10,515 Yuan per capita.6. In 2004, extrapolating the tourist to the Mt. Erlang national forestry park was 88,400 per-time, stayed 2.12 days in average, the number of tourist was the 172.3 times of local citizen. The traveling ecological footprint to was 6.096hm~2 per capita in 2004, which was almost 9.32 times local. So we can see that the tourism is a high demand of the nature resource, high consuming living style. The study of traveling ecological footprint indicate that, the destination tourism activity is a kind of comprehensive living life way, which is the high demand and the high consumption of natural resource. And the tourism activity is the primary factor of influencing the tour environments. Along with the increase of empolder for Mt. Erlang national forestry park, the tourists will continue to increase massively. With the tourists massive increase, the resources and the energy consumption will certainly expand further, which will increase this region to other regions dependence. Therefore, it is better to take the essential measure to enhance the repertory of natural resource and reduce the resources waste, then improve the efficiency, amend the existing extensive management pattern. The reasonable plan and exploitation will promote the benignity development of tour industry.
