Air Transportation Industry Chain Research Based On Diamond Model

With the rapid development of air transportation industry in China, the traffic has been extensive growth. But the competitiveness of our air transportation industry remains weak in the international market, especially the phenomenon of chain breakage between air transportation industry and airplane manufacture industry. And it results in the high costs of purchasing or leasing aircrafts for airlines. Meanwhile, the operating efficiency of the link between air transportation industry and the related and supporting industries on the industry chain is an important factor, which affects air transportation industry in China.Firstly, under the framework of the "Diamond Model", the thesis systemically researches the factors of China's air transportation industry, and points out that "the related and supporting industries", this factor aspects the competitiveness of China's air transportation industry deeply. Secondly, in the basis of analyzing the concept and basic theory of industry chain, the author analyses the phenomenon of the cooperation of industry chain participants, including the coordination and cooperation between the air transportation industry and related industry, the airplane manufacture industry, and influence on the operating efficiency of the air transportation industry. Then, applying the method of Game Theory, the author analyses the act and the final effect of the coordination and cooperation between groups in weak link of the industry chain. Finally, the author gives some suggestions to improve China's air transportation industry chain.The innovation of the thesis is applying the diamond model to China's air transportation industry, analyzing "the related and supporting industries" based on industry chain, applying the method of Game Theory to the cooperation and the revenue matrix of industry chain participants, giving some suggestions about the operating mechanism of the coordination and cooperation between air transportation chain participants to improve the air transportation industry chain.
