With the rapid development of China's economy and the service industry in the national economy's position becoming more and more important, how fast effective to develop China's service industry become a important topic which promotes our country economy and social sustained development. Facing the economic globalization and the tendency of gradually and comprehensive opening up to foreign enterprises in our market, our service industry has dual pressures of competition from overseas multinational companies and domestic counterparts. Although our country's service industry has made certain progress after reform and open policy 30-year developments, there are still many problems which due to idea, environment, system, management and some kinds of factors. Especially in the quality of service, such as service idea, personnel quality, service management level and so on, many aspects are unsatisfactory. These problems seriously affected the competitiveness of China's services industry. So how to solve these problems is the focus of our country service industry at present.A great many experts from different angles of view have made a lot of research on how to deal with the quality problems of service industry in academic circle at present. For example, apply the TQM theories to strengthen all-round and the entire process management of the service industry to promote the service quality, using the Attractive Quality theories which established by Japanese quality expert-- Noriaki Kano to promote service quality and cultivate the loyal customer, implementing the ISO9000 Standards to promote the management level, and so on. All these ways provide effective instructions to enhance service quality for our service industry. And in academic circle from the view of process management, applying Six Sigma Management to solve the service quality problems is a few, belonging to starting.Six Sigma Management is an advanced management theory and methods which is born in Motorola at the late 1980s and obtains the great success in GE at 1990s. Six Sigma Management is a new management method which based on data and focus on customers and processes, paying more attention to the process control and guarantee. Business process management is one of management's focuses in modern society. If the companies want to win in the competition, the companies have to pay attention to customers'and conquer them. So the companies must focus on the flows which provide the goods and service to reduce the defects. The allowing defect rate of Six Sigma Management is 3.4/1000000.So it can make the costumers have the greatest satisfaction and meets customer's need. From flow management views, this paper wants to use the Six Sigma Management to solve the quality problems and provide a new theory and method which promotes competitive power of the service industry to deal with the challenges.This paper begins with introducing the basic theory of Six Sigma Management, based on analyzing status and problems of the service industry, then statement the urgency of raising the service quality level, focus on the general idea and countermeasures of Six Sigma Management advancement and implementation in our service industry. And the service industry, according to its own characteristics, must comprehensively promote the quality and management level on the aspects of strategic and execution to promote the synthesis competitive powers. The companies can struggle the room of survival and development. So our service industry can calmly face the opportunities and challenges which economic globalization brings.
