Tourism service trade hitherto has become the most important item of china's trade in services, of which existence and development directly dominate the total development trend of trade in services of our country. But we realize that from now on china has not great power in competitiveness of tourism service trade, especially after taking part in WTO, the industry of tourism in china faces a challenge that has never met. So how to guide the development of the tourism service trade and settle the bottleneck in the development is worth our studying.Firstly, the thesis combines the theory of trade liberalization with the theory of comparative advantage and competitive advantage to analyze the competitiveness of tourism service trade, which is the basis of the theory of tourism service trade.Secondly, it apply Mr. Porter"s "Diamond" competitiveness model to dig out the potential competitive advantages and analyze the existing key factors which could significantly influence our international competitiveness of tourism service trade, then select Export Quantity, International Market Occupancy Factor and Revealed Comparative Advantage Index as well as Net Export Quantity and Trade Special Coefficient to make a worldwide comparative analysis of comparative advantage and competitive advantage in our tourism service trade, furthermore use many methods in econometrics and demonstration with Revealed Comparative Advantage Index, Trade Special Coefficient and Open Degree of Trade of China and America to measure the correlation between trade liberalization and comparative advantage in tourism service trade, and between trade liberalization and competitive advantage in tourism service trade.The third section introduces the successful experiences in developing tourism service trade of America and Spain.Finally on the basis of the analysis ahead, the thesis brings up some proposals to develop our tourism service trade.
