The export of automobile is a measure of degree testing the development of a nation's automobile industry. Only through a lot of exports can a county advance into the global automobile industry through fierce competition. After joining the WTO, China's automobile exports, particularly exports of independent brand auto, have enjoyed rapid development with huge potential, which has become a hot topic arose wide concern. Compared with automobile manufacturer of powerful nations, our country has its own comparative advantages over the export of independent brand auto. However, it has obvious weaknesses in terms of scale, technology, quality, brand recognition and after-sales service, and other aspects. With the increase in export volume, various trade barriers and constraints are gradually revealed. Therefore, it is significant for the entire automobile industrial development that how to use its own advantage of the independent brand automobile, to seize the good opportunities, to overcome own disadvantages clearly, to deal with the threats positively and to export faster and better.This paper analyses the whole status quo of China's automobile exports and the present status of independent brand auto export, particularize the export status of representative independent brand,such as Chery ,Geely and the Great Wall Auto; with great emphasis on summarizing and analyzing the characteristics of independent brand auto exports. Then through the analysis of present status and characteristics of independent brand auto, using the comparative advantage theory and the theory of advantage of backwardness, according to practice,it carries on the comprehensive SWOT analysis to our country independent brand auto export. Next, the author gives six proposals on the strategy of China's own brand export according to the SWOT analysis and the experience of auto development model of Japan & South Korea. And finally, looks into the future on the export of China's own brand auto. China's automobile's swift development and broad exporting prospects of independent brand are premise of this article. The SWOT analysis of the independent brand auto export and the export strategy study in view of the analysis is the soul of this article.
