The tourism is an industry which provides the visiting service to the tourist based on the resource and establishment of travel sites. Since 1990's, the worldwide tourism industry came into a golden period of developing. With the quick development, the tourism industry becomes more and more important to the national economy. It has a notable advantage in enhancing foreign exchange earning, driving development of related industry, absorbing more work forces and advancing the economic development. Tourism industry has been becoming the most active point in the world economy, especially the developing countries.Henan Province located in the middle of China and its population ranks first in our country. Due to its long history, Henan has a huge number of travel resources.However, the tourism industry in Henan has not got enough development. That is to say, the advantage in travel resources has not turn into that in economy. In fact, its economy level is always relative low. So, knowing how to exert its predominance, quickening the rapid of developing tourism industry, improving the economy level is the main work of Henan province now. And researching the tourism industry in Henan has important function.The paper mainly analyses the tourist source market of Henan Province. The main process is that: first, classifying the tourist source market by using artificial neural network; then, analyzing the result by using the factor analysis and logistic regression, trying to find the main factors which have distinct effect on the tourist resource market; and then giving some advisement to the development of Henan tourism industry.There are four chapters in the paper, and the brief outline of which is introduced as follows:Chapter one introduces the research background, purpose, actuality and ways, which build the basis for the whole paper.Chapter two introduces the principle and arithmetic of Self-Organized Feature Map (SOFM) which is the main method used in the paper.Chapter three is the main part in the paper.
