Stepping into the 21st century, the negotiation and implementation of CAFTA (China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement) is sprung up to be a global focus. It is huge opportunity for China and ASEAN having the free trade area with the biggest population in the world. All in all, the direct investment in ASEAN from Chinese enterprises has the great potential with both the investment space and value. ASEAN countries should be the important investing object for Chinese enterprise, while the location choice is the first question.The purpose of the paper is to study the location choice of direct investment in ASEAN from Chinese enterprises. The paper reviewed the research situation from foreign and domestic, including theory research and example research, and provided the thought of the location choice of foreign direct investment that is to think the motive, competitive force of the foreign direct investment and location factors of investment target countries, and used the method of AHP to establish the location factor estimation system of investment targeting countries. The paper explained the Chinese enterprise's location distributive situation, systematically made detailed analysis to the motive, the competitive force of direct investment in ASEAN from Chinese enterprises and the location factor situation of ASEAN countries, at last pointed out the suggestion of location choice of investment of ASEAN from Chinese enterprises. The enterprises should select Indonesia and Malaysia to invest the area of natural resources, select Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia to invest the area of labor-intensive, select the Philippines, Kampuchea and Laos to invest the area of contract engineering, and select Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia to invest the area of science and technology.
