Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of international logistics, the markedly accelerating pace of regional economics integration and the rapid integration of supply chain development, the research on new development mode of port logistics is not only the globalization needs, but also the needs of the regional economy and international logistics development. Compared with the rapid development of China ports, the management of port logistics in China is far from satisfactory. As the regional division in allocation of resources, in particular, the government's grip on allocation of public resources cannot be organic coordinated, which results the industrial distribution unreasonable. There exists unhealthy development trend like vicious competitions not only between ports, but the logistics service providers in the same port as well.This paper is divided into two parts, with one part on the status quo, the first part mainly discuss the development of China's ports, port logistics and the trends of development. The special control areas, as China Free Trade Zone, export processing zone, bonded logistics park and China free port are the four main targets of discussion.The second part discusses the multi-level port logistics integration, the horizontal integration and vertical integration as well. Horizontal integration of port logistics perform as the collaboration between the ports. The research will focus on the necessity of cooperation and how the similarity on port services or port hinterland affects the cooperation profit. The vertical integration of port logistics is the integration among the roles in port supply chain. This part will discuss the necessity of cooperation between port and third party logistics company, and the problem on sharing of cooperation profit.
