The main problem about the development of a region is how to boost its competitiveness rapidly, so as to occupy an advantage position in the global division system of industry. Regional Industry Competitiveness (RIC) is the vital factor of Regional Competitiveness. The system of RIC is a complicated colossal system. Therefore, it is more empirically beneficial to the development of a region's industry if we explore the key factors influencing RIC.The aim, significance and contents of the research, as well as the history and development of the research on International Competitiveness of Industry and RIC are reviewed in the first chapter.In the second chapter we discuss the concepts and some kinds of relationship relating to RIC, found that the core of RIC is Integrated Region-Industry Production Capability.We review the theories on Competitiveness's key factors and growth mechanism of RIC in the third chapter, found Industrial Agglomeration plays an important role in the transition from Comparative Advantage to Competition Advantage.In the fourth chapter, by analyzing the mechanism of how Production Capability Construction influences Production Capability, we concluded that Industrial Agglomeration is the key factor influencing RIC.In the fifth chapter, we discuss Industrial Agglomeration in detail, including its advantage, the sources of its advantage, and how to help its growth.The conclusions we drew in this thesis are as follows.The core of RIC is Integrated Region-Industry Production Capability.The route Competition Advantage takes to convert from Comparative Advantage is to help grow the region's own core competitiveness, fully utilize the region's relatively abundant resources, and regard the importance of some amorphous factors such as technology and information as important, and finally, help grow Industrial Agglomeration by means of exploiting scale effect.Competition Advantage is the direct source of RIC.Production Capability Construction refers to the paradigm of work division and cooperation resulted from efficient organizing in the process of Production Capability socialization.By analyzing the mechanism of how Production Capability Construction influences Production Capability, we concluded that Industrial Agglomeration is the key factor influencing RIC.The mechanism of how Industrial Agglomeration help Innovation grow is as follows.
