Study On Choosing Reverse Logistics Modes Of Enterprises

Accompanying rapid development of economic social, the requirement for natural resources increase dramatically; however, natural resources are limited in the world, as infinite exploitation and utilization, the depletion will come in near future. Meanwhile, during the production and consumption, substantial wastes and inferiors are produced; these imperfections will not only bring tremendous pressure to the enterprises, but also impact the living ecological environment, if they would not be deal properly. So, recently, with the enhancement of the sense of protection of the environment, the issuance environmental protection regulations and the requirement of persistence development, dealing with the returns is realized as the action of changing the waste to profit, which can save the resources, improve the environment, and make more profit for the corporations. For a long time, as a result of obvious economic profits brought by the forward logistics, reverse flow logistics—"fuzzy continent" is neglected. In order to balance both sides of the logistics, dealing with the returns is realized as the action of changing the waste to profit in time, which needs enterprises develop the reverse logistics.Meanwhile, in order to survive in the drastic competition and enlarge market occupancy and improve the core competitive ability, the enterprises imply different kinds of competition tricks, releasing the returns inward policy is one of them. Although this policy could capture more market shares through providing qualified services, it could incur the large amount of returns. Facing this situation, the enterprises have to pay more attention to the normalization of the reverse logistics services. As a result, the reverse logistics engages more and more attention and has been a profitable and persistent business strategy; this is the reason why the reverse logistics management becomes the enterprises' competition advantage.The reverse logistics has the different operating modes, so does the forward logistic, with this circumstance, the research purpose of this paper is to find how does the individual enterprise carry out the reverse logistics and how to select the optimal mode to realize decreasing the operation cost, improving the services and fulfilling the requirements of the persistent development and fitting for the environment.Firstly, the paper figures out the brief introduction and analysis about the reverse logistics, basing on the relative studying achievements about the logistics. Then the author analyzes foundation of the theory about the reverse logistic, which is regarded as the supported system when implying the reverse logistic, and analyzing and comparing 3 types of reverse logistics modes: self-support, outsourcing and joint venture. Through thorough studying of the principal influence factors that can affect the mode choice, the KPI was introduced to be the benchmarking. In the crucial part of the paper, AHP and KPI would be combined to judge the decision through the examples by both the quantitative and qualitative researches, which are used to discuss the reasons of the choice of the modes and to get the final conclusion. At last, some strategies about the reverse logistics implied in corporations are offered to use for reference for Chinese companies applying the reverse logistics. The conclusion of this paper: when the company operating the reverse logistics, it should take its own conditions into the consideration and apply the sensible guidelines to choose the most optimal mode.
